In regard to our environment, it is every person’s as well as every businesses responsibility to do what they can to help preserve our planet; our home. As a Realtor , I am very proud of the brokerage that I represent. It has been a gradual process that has met a lot of resistance from my fellow Realtors, as well as misunderstanding from the general public.
Specifically, we have decreased our presence in the physical newspaper and increased our presence in the on-line/internet world. In doing this we are hoping to help decrease the amount of , ever so important, trees from being cut down. This would hopefully improve our ozone by decreasing the “green house” effect that is plaguing our environment, as well as decreasing the amount of trash we generate.
Statistically, the majority of the population uses the internet for information and current events/news. This is evidenced by the decrease in circulation and subsequent shut down of various large newspapers. The advances in technology have made it so that we can get information in an instant. You could say we have become a generation of instant gratification. Anyway you look at it—this is the new norm. With this in mind, why would we put anything in the physical newspaper unless it was something special.
Again, I am proud to represent a brokerage that is trying to do it’s part in the ever so urgent matter of preserving our HOME!
